Dedicated Waste Categories We Handle
We supply labeled containers and signage setups tailored to your specific site requirements:
General Waste Only

This container takes non-recyclablebuilding materials and mixed site debris that cannot be recovered through our dedicated material streams. Keeping general waste separate from clean recyclable loads is vital, as a single bag of non-recyclable rubbish tossed into a dedicated timber or plasterboard skip can contaminate the entire load and trigger unnecessary extra sorting fees.
- What Goes In: Non-recyclable packaging, worn polythene sheeting, empty cement bags, general site litter, dirty dust sheets and old carpets.
- What Stays Out: Hazardous materials, liquid paint, asbestos, gas canisters, electrical items (WEEE) and domestic fridges.
Wood & Timber Only

Timber is one of the most reusable materials on a building site, provided it stays free from heavy contamination. Clean, segregated wood gets processed for secondary industrial uses, chipboard manufacturing or biomass energy generation.
- What Goes In: Structural timber joists, rafters, studwork, clean wooden pallets, packing crates, timber offcuts, plywood, OSB boards, chipboard and MDF sheets.
- Sorting Advice: Standard nails and woodscrews are completely acceptable, but keep wet or heavily rotting wood separate to preserve recycling value.
Mixed Metals Only

Scrap metal is highly recyclable and yields an exceptional recovery rate when kept completely free from general site rubbish. Both ferrous and non-ferrous metals should go directly into this designated container.
- What Goes In: Structural steel beams (RSJs), steel posts, iron rebar, copper piping, brass fittings, lead flashing, iron radiators, steel trunking and aluminium window frames.
- Sorting Advice: Ensure all tanks or metal containers are completely empty and free from oil or fuel residues. Never throw sealed pressure vessels or gas cylinders into a metal skip.
Plasterboard Only

UK waste regulations mandate that gypsum-based materials, including plasterboard and gypsum plaster, must be strictly separated from general mixed waste. When gypsum breaks down alongside organic material in a standard landfill environment, it can produce harmful gases. Keeping plasterboard in a dedicated skip ensures it can be safely reprocessed into new plaster products.
- What Goes In: Clean plasterboard sheets, installation offcuts, decorative ceiling tiles, fibrous plaster mouldings and gypsum block offcuts.
- Sorting Advice: Keep plasterboard as dry as possible on site. Heavy rain weakens the gypsum core and makes the material significantly harder to process.
Mixed Packaging Only

Modern construction products arrive on site with vast amounts of protective packaging. Segregating packaging materials at the point of unpacking keeps your working area clear of trip hazards and keeps lightweight, high-volume materials out of your general waste containers.
- What Goes In: Cardboard delivery boxes, outer cartons, paper packaging, clean plastic bubble wrap, stretch wrap, shrink wrap and plastic banding.
- Sorting Advice: Flatten all cardboard boxes before tossing them into the skip to save physical space and prevent air pockets.
